Maybe you have been a big fan of mahjong game for long time, but do you know what the tiles acturely mean? Most of Mahjong games contain Characters, Sticks, Balls, Winds, Dragons, Red Flowers, Blue Flowers. Take your time with it, and remember evry symbolic has its signification, but don't worry if you can't fully understand them, just move on, just enjoy it, one day you will be a master on mahjong game.
Character Tiles: This tile is equal to as the Characters in English. There're 9 tiles from 1 to 9 in one set. The symbol in red signifies ten thousand, implying prosperity. The symbols in black are the Arabic numbers 1 to 9. Those Character Tiles have been marked with Arabic numbers to help you to be familiar with those Chinese numbers.
Ball Tiles: Those tiles also called Circles or Dots. There're 9 tiles from 1 to 9 in one set. It's very easy to make difference between of thme, just counting the spots.
Bamboo Tiles: Those tile also called Stick Tiles. There're 9 tiles from 1 to 9 in one set. It's also easy for you to figure out the value of those tiles, even you know nothing about Chinese, yes, just counting the twigs. Have problem? You couldn't find Bamboo One? Oh ... Remember there's a bird on the tile of Bamboo One. Funny!
Dragon Tiles: Some Mahjong Tile Games just contain one Dragon Tile (just the white one). But There're 3 Tiles in Pretty Good Mahjong, one white, one green, one red. It's also easy to distinguish from other tiles.
Wind Tiles: The four Winds: North, East, South, and West. There're 4 tiles in one set. Though you don't know Chinese, you can recognise them by the mark in the up-left of the tile: N - North, E - East, S - South, W - West. Yeah, it's not hard for anyone.
Flower Tils: 4 different Flowers with spring flower, summer flower, autumn flower, and winter flower. There're 4 Flower Tiles in one set. Look, those tiles have been marked from 1 to 4 to help you to recognise between each other.
Season Tiles: Those tiles show the four seasons of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. There're 4 tiles in a set. You may recognise them by the english letter in each tile: SPR - Spring, SUM - Summer, AUT - Autumn, WIN - Winter.
