Bubble Bobble Nostalgie - Game Rules

-- Extra life

You are given an extra life for scoring a certain number of points: 30 000, 100 000, 200 000 etc. for each following 100K points.

-- Special Bubbles

In addition to regular bubbles produced by Bub and Bob there are other bubbles in the game.

- Water bubble
- water rushes down from the point where you blew it up. The enemies taken away by the stream turn into a 7000-point diamond.
- Lightning bubble
- as you blow it up lightning emerges and flies in the direction opposite to that in which Bub or Bob was looking. The enemies struck by this lightening turn into 8000-point diamonds.
- Fire bubble
- you blow it up and fire spreads as a fire strip on the surface. The fire falls down and spreads. Enemies that get into the fire turn into 9000-point diamonds.

-- Falling Food

As soon as you blow up the last enemy on the first level and all levels divisible by 5, all the bubbles available on the level turn into prizes.
Each prize gives you 700 points. Moreover, the same happens if you finish a level with a score that looks like abcdd0 (i. e. the hundreds and tens are equal), but it happens on the next level. Depending on the number of level or score values, different things will drop out, each worth 700 points.

-- EXTEND bubbles

Apart from what is said above, blowing several enemies at once will bring you more points or there will emerge bubbles with letters on the following levels that have holes in the horizontal walls. The more enemies you blow up simultaneously the more bubbles with letters appear in future.
If you burst two enemies at once, one bubble with letter will emerge, three bubbles with enemies - 2 letters, four enemies - 3 letters etc. By catching these letters you will be able to assemble the word EXTEND, which provides you with:

-- Finishing the Game

There are two episodes in the game so you have to fight your final battles twice. In one case, your enemy is Mad Sorcerer, in the other - the Ghost. To destroy the enemy you are to pick up the jars with lightenings. One jar produces seven bubbles with lightening. You are to release these bubbles and burst them so that the lightening kills your enemy. When struck by the lightening the enemy goes into the bubble. By bursting the bubble you earn 1000000 points.
